Dr Tamara Mengine
Dr. Tamara Mengine has been a member of the veterinary medical team at Ardmore Animal Hospital
since 2007. A native of Pennsylvania ,
Dr. Mengine attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University where she received her
Bachelor's Degree in Biology in 1994. She went on to attend the North Carolina
State University College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate
of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Following veterinary school, she completed a
one-year rotating internship in animal medicine and surgery, with a
concentration in cardiology, emergency and critical care and exotic pet care.
She counts internal medicine, cardiology, emergency and critical care and small
mammal/exotic pet care among her professional interests. Dr. Mengine is also
VetStem certified.
A member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, Dr. Mengine is active in Pals for Life, a local pet therapy organization, and serves as a volunteer and board member. Her past-times and hobbies include gardening, biking, running and spending time with her family. Dr. Mengine is often seen with her two canine companions, Dexter and Oz.
